ClearSeas Maritime is the independent advisory practice from maritime technologist André Cocuccio, providing evidence-led support for complex, high-consequence decision-making across the maritime domain. ClearSeas Maritime works with organisations operating at the intersection of advanced science, emerging technology, operational risk and regulatory accountability. Its focus is on translating technical, policy and operational complexity into clear, credible guidance for the safe, contemporary and sustainable use of sea space.

With experience spanning maritime assurance, ports, offshore development, ocean data acquisition, maritime domain awareness, technology adoption and maritime strategy, ClearSeas Maritime helps clients understand risk, meet expectations and make operationally credible decisions in complex or uncertain environments.

Founder & Managing Director

André Cocuccio is a maritime professional with over 25 years of experience working at the intersection of operational practice, regulation, and emerging technology. His career spans senior leadership roles in both industry and public authorities, alongside advisory appointments and applied innovation work.

 

This breadth of experience gives him a clear understanding of how complex technical issues are assessed, challenged, and translated into real-world decisions and solutions.

André holds a BEng (Hons) degree and a MSc in Oceanography. He is a Chartered Marine Technologist (CMarTech), a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (FIMarEST), and an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute (AFNI).
